Andrea Esquivel: Press

RadioIndy Review of
"My Life" CD

"My Life" by Andrea Esquivel is a Christian country album full of enjoyable carefree and praiseful tracks. The classic quality both in Andrea's voice and in the overall sound make for a pleasant listening experience. Andrea sings of many things, including her love for God, family life and personal reflections. The arrangements are just right for the concept, steady with subtle and effective accents. The vocals are passionate and intimate at the same time. Highlights are the lead off track "Travelin' Light," the most carefree of all the tunes. It makes you want to pack a bag and hit the road. The title track "My Life" features a strong vocal performance, soulful lyrics and nice melodies. "Isn't He Good" is full of wonderful harmonies, nice guitar riffs, and a catchy melody. "Magnify the Lord" has a nice piano progression and another fine vocal performance. If you like country, gospel and Christian music, you'll like this one.

"Not Forsaken" CD
Andrea Esquivel

I get in a lot of CD's and I am thrilled when someone asks me to review their album, but also a little cautious. I was very pleased when I listened to Andrea Esquivel's album. She has a strong outstanding voice that I believe you will be hearing a lot from.
Five of the songs on the album Andrea wrote herself and she is a very good songwriter. The more I listen to the music the more I appreciate the songwriter, and I appreciate Andrea. Of the five original songs all of them are good but my favorites are "Fight The Good Fight of Faith" and "Keep Your Eye On The Prize". The tracks are good and the album was recorded at Johnny Mulhair Studios in Clovis, New Mexico.
